About Tynedale Sports Development
Tynedale Sports Development team is based at NCL's head office in Hexham and their main purpose is to increasing and sustaining participation in sport and physical activity in the local, rural area. The most effective way to achieve this is to enable local people to run local activity so the team helps and supports local people to take an active role in sport in their own community.
There are many community sports clubs run by enthusiastic volunteers but the increase in legislation makes running a club more onerous. The team can help with policies, procedures, rules, regulations and funding bids to maintain an activity or help you get a new one off the ground. They can also help with local training courses for coaches and volunteers.
The Sports Development team co-ordinate 'Active Tynedale', a multi-agency group whose members all have a passion for sport and physical activity and the team works with National Governing Bodies to support specific sports.
