Gymnastics at Whitehaven Sports Centre

Whitehaven Gymnastics Lessons starting 28th January

Whitehaven Sports Centre is now offering gymnastics classes as part of the Copeland Aspirational Coaching Project. The project is committed to providing quality gymnastics which is accessible to over 5’s and all abilities.

Participating in gymnastics creates many benefits which include:

  • The development of fundamental skills
  • Increased fitness, strength and flexibility
  • The development of exceptional team work skills
  • Increased levels of confidence
  • Most importantly ENJOYMENT!!

The sessions are lead by our fully qualified coaches, Amy Clark (Community Gymnastics Coach) and Amy Drinkall (Gymnastics Development Officer). Both coaches have over fourteen years of involvement with the sport as participants, officials and coaches.

Amy Drinkall passion for Gymnastics led her to Loughborough University where she has recently graduated from. Similarly Amy Clark continued her Sporting interests by understanding Sport Studies degree at the University of Central Lancashire.

Between the two they have experience of coaching clubs nationwide and are keen to apply this experience and knowledge in Copeland.

Gymnastics launch date is the 28th January

The classes run weekly in 10 week blocks and are available to those aged 5

Times:

9.30 -10.30           5-6 years

10.30 – 11.30       5-6 years

11.30 – 12.30       5-6 years

1.00 – 2.00            7-8 years

2.00 – 3.00            7-8 years

3.00 – 4.00            9

4.00 – 5.00            9

5.00 – 6.00            9
