Functions at Whitehaven Civic Hall

Whether it’s a wedding reception, birthday party, christening, anniversary or whatever function you choose, Whitehaven Civic Hall is the perfect venue for making your special event a day to remember. 

From large scale functions and business conferences through to more intimate specialist parties, our choice of function rooms, catering and entertainment are so varied that any occasion can be tailored to the needs, requirements and tastes of you and your guests.

Our Function Rooms

• The Solway Hall

The larger of our two function rooms, The Solway Hall can seat between 250 and 600 guests depending on the seating layout you choose. With its staging area at the front of the hall for your party entertainment and fully licensed bar, it is an ideal location for any event from a birthday party or wedding through to a dinner dance, presentation evening or awards ceremony. 

• The Dunboyne Hall

A wonderful warm atmosphere is created in the Dunboyne Hall. Slightly smaller than the Solway this room can be used for smaller parties or as an extra room to the Solway Hall and we can accommodate up to 400 in this room.

• The Ennerdale Room

The Ennerdale Room has recently been refurbished and offers an ideal place for smaller meetings and groups.  

Weddings

Whitehaven Civic Hall is an ideal location for wedding receptions, dinners and parties. With it's town centre location and the facilities on offer your guests can enjoy the best entertainment in a comfortable, friendly environment, leaving the wedding party to enjoy their day. Both the Halls can be utilized throughout the day offering a range of formats to choose from. We can hold anything up to 250 for a seated meal in the Solway Hall and increase that figure if needed by utilizing the Dunboyne...Or why not use one of the Halls through the day and the other for the night time party!?
