Volunteers
It is really important to have local people qualified as coaches. This not only improves the quality of sports played but having someone local also aids the sustainability of any project or club. As well as voluntary coaching there are also opportunities for paid coaching employment with either ourselves, Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre or with one of our partners.
We are working closely with those organisations that provide education courses to ensure that they deliver their courses in the north of the County to assist us to develop sport in the area.
A new course database, North East Course Finder, has now been put together to allow clubs from the North East to find out what courses are on in their area.
If there is a course you wish to attend which isn't listed, please contact the Sports Development Team. As long as there is sufficient numbers we will organise a course within the District to meet local demand.
