Volunteers
It is really important to have local people qualified as coaches. This not only improves the quality of sports played but having someone local also aids the sustainability of any project or club. As well as voluntary coaching there are also opportunities for paid coaching employment with either ourselves, Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre or with one of our partners.
We are working closely with those organisations that provide education courses to ensure that they deliver their courses in the north of the County to assist us to develop sport in the area.
Northumberland Sport are in the process of developing a programme of courses throughout Northumberland, but in the meantime if there is a course you wish to attend please contact the Sports Development Team. As long as there is sufficient numbers we will organise a course within the District to meet local demand.
