Funding

An increasing part of our work is working in partnership to assist clubs with funding bids, whether it is a small application up to £5,000 or a larger community facility such as Alnwick Sporting Club, Shilbottle Miners Welfare or Alnwick Clayport Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).  

Gaining funding can be difficult for sports clubs, so the Sports Development Team are on hand to support and advise. We can help clubs develop their own constitutions, policies and development plans. 

Alnwick and District Sports Council was set up over 20 years ago by Alnwick District Council to provide a link between the District Council and local sporting clubs and to promote sport at all levels in the district. To help achieve this, a small grant is provided each year by the council that can be distributed to help the development of clubs and coaching. Clubs can become affiliated to the council for an annual fee of £10 which then enables them to apply for small funding grants.
